Robert Vincent - Live at St Sampsons Church, Cricklade

St Sampsons - St Sampsons Church, Bath Road, Cricklade, Swindon, UK

Robert Vincent performing in St Sampson's Church, Cricklade

This month, we are very proud to be able to welcome singer/songwriter Robert Vincent back to Cricklade.

Many members of the Old Stables audience will have previously seen Robert perform and will no doubt agree that he is a truly amazing singer, songwriter and performer.

So this month we have taken the decision again to leave the familiar setting of The Old Stables and invite you all to see and hear Robert perform in the most enchanting setting you can imagine.  Just across the road from The Old Stables, St Sampson's Church is a magnificent, imposing structure offering an extraordinary performance space with perfect acoustics and we just know this is going to be a magical experience.

Robert Vincent is an astounding artist and one of most critically acclaimed voices in the UK Americana scene.

It was Vincent’s powerful and soulful voice that attracted acolytes such as Bob Harris, Paul Carrack and Mary Chapin Carpenter. In 2016, Harris awarded Robert with his ‘Emerging Artist’ of the year award at the inaugural UK Americana Awards show describing Vincent as “absolutely magnetic” and “the real deal”. In 2018 following the release of ‘I’ll Make The Most Of My Sins’ (AMAUK Album of The Year 2018) Robert was invited to perform on the BBC ‘Old Grey Whistle Test, For One Night Only’ closing the show. It was this performance that would propel him to number 1 and 2 in the iTunes Album and Singles Charts.

Robert continues to tour extensively showing his versatility as both a solo performer and with a full band. Some of his more notable performances include Glasgow Theatre Royal with Mary Chapin Carpenter, supporting Roger Waters at Hyde Park, and tours with Paul Carrack and Duane Eddy who gifted him with one of his signature ‘Gretsch’ guitars after his 80th birthday celebration at The London Palladium.

This is truly a unique opportunity to see an incredible talent in such a beautiful setting as St Sampson's Church.
